WTB A router

Post by bmanoftheyear »

Not looking for some super duper top of the line router.I just need a router so I can use my pc and my xbox 360.
I recently got Time Warner Cable and the modem I recieved from them only has 1 ethernet port.I need to have two ports so I can hook up my xbox 360 and my pc at the same time.

If any of you have a router you can give away or let go for cheap please let me know. Thanks

I have one of these:
DLink DI-524 rev.C

Certified Xbox Live compatible, includes 802.11g wireless, $25 face to face in Akron.

I also have an 802.11n available, but that's probably more than you're looking for.

If it happens that you need to make a trip down to the Columbus area, I have a couple of different routers you can choose from. No charge.

FYI, it's about 2 hours each way, down 77 to 70 and west to Buckeye Lake.

I guess in theory, if you have an reasonably economical car, you can be ready to go for 10 gallons of gas and an afternoon of time. Up to you though...
Wired routers are pretty cheap. Make sure you see what you can get locally. Microcenter for instance.
