RBG Misses first oral arguments - Lung surgery

Post by Bruenor »

Not looking too good for old Ginsburg, the fall earlier this year, and now surgery on her lungs for cancer.

I hope she has a speedy recovery, and suggest she retire to sunny California to enjoy her new lease on life.

It would be nice to wish her a healthy, happy, and long life in retirement, but I just can't find it in me to do so.

Update: RBG publically attends a concert honoring herself.

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg made her first public appearance Monday night since she underwent cancer surgery in December.

Ginsburg attended a production of “Notorious RBG in Song,” a musical celebration of her life created and performed by her daughter-in-law, soprano Patrice Michaels, at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, according to The Washington Post.

Ginsburg sat in the back and did not speak and her presence was not announced, the Post reported.

But some knew she was there. The production was performed for high school students by the National Constitution Center and the center’s president and CEO, Jeffrey Rosen, tweeted, “Thrilled that Justice Ginsburg attended the first concert performance of #Notorious RBG in Song.”

Sounds like they'll be able to wheel/carry her into the House for the State of the Union Address after all. But you can bet they won't televise her entrance or exit, unless she can somehow walk unaided. (That would make me suspect it was a fembot.)
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

There is always one Justice absent from the SOTU speech in case a meteorite hits the Capital building or another form of apocalypse occurs. I'm guessing that she'll be that one Justice tonight.

Nah. Kavanaugh will be drinking some beers elsewhere enjoying the show like the rest of us.
Good luck and stand fast, true Patriots.

RBG missed the SOTU address as did Thomas and Alito. Only four attended which included Kavanugh.

Can't let RBG be the one to continue SCOTUS work in the worst case scenario, amiright?

For all those who would vote against Democrats, an instant classic.

She’d have just passed out drunk anyway.

Update:

https://www.whio.com/news/national-govt ... ti9mqv83H/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court says Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has returned to work at the building for the first time since lung cancer surgery in late December.

The court's press office says the 85-year-old Ginsburg is attending the justices' Friday closed-door conference at which they're weighing whether to add new cases and finalizing opinions in cases argued in the fall.

Ginsburg missed six days of arguments and three private conferences as she recuperated from the December surgery. The court has said she participated in the court's work despite her absence.
