In Houston just yesterday, a federal prosecutor appears to have gotten cold feet. Right before the trial began, in the face of an ATF expert prepared to testify that bump stocks do not a machine gun make, the prosecutor withdrew the bump stock possession charge, proceeding only with charges facing less resistance.
Middle finger legal defense.
They can't/won't enforce it, but they declared it...so if you want to hang the "Law Abiding Citizen" shingle on your mantle, you can load yourself on the train car, because they told you to.

"Avarice, ambition, revenge and licentiousness would break the strongest cords of our Constitution, as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." John Adams to Mass Militia 10-11-1798
Marine Corp Private Ali Akazahg was convicted of possessing two machine guns, in violation of Articles 83, 107, and 134 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice [UCMJ]. These “machine guns” that Private Akazahg processed were bump stocks. The Private’s defense counsel argued that bump stocks did not meet the federal definition of machine guns. The ruling is found here and embedded below. US Military Courts Rules Bump Stocks Are Not Machine Guns.
A three-judge panel agreed with the defense, unanimously ruled that bump stocks do not meet the definition of a machine gun.
There's that...

A Trump administration ban on bump stocks was struck down Friday by a federal appeals court in New Orleans. The ban was instituted after the Las Vegas attack in 2017. Gun rights advocates have challenged it in multiple courts. The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of appeals ruled 13-3 against the law, which will ultimately be decided by the Supreme Court.
Don't worry, Trump voters, a new batch of electronic trading cards will be sold to you soon.

"WWF" is the World Wildlife Foundation. "WWE" stands for Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment.
Those two organizations had a court fight over who had rights to using WWF several years ago. The animal advocates won.
Yes, I'm aware. And Trump was a character under the WWF banner, when it was entertaining.
Thank you for missing the point entirely.

2/28/18 President Trump on Wednesday voiced support for confiscating guns from certain individuals deemed to be dangerous, even if it violates due process rights.
“I like taking the guns early, like in this crazy man’s case that just took place in Florida … to go to court would have taken a long time,” Trump said at a meeting with lawmakers on school safety and gun violence.
“Take the guns first, go through due process second,” Trump said.
Trump was responding to comments from Vice President Pence that families and local law enforcement should have more tools to report potentially dangerous individuals with weapons. {mosads}
