Biden calls for gun control

Postby Bruenor » Mon Feb 15, 2021 8:13 am

Nobody is surprised right ?

This Administration will not wait for the next mass shooting to heed that call. We will take action to end our epidemic of gun violence and make our schools and communities safer. Today, I am calling on Congress to enact commonsense gun law reforms, including requiring background checks on all gun sales, banning assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, and eliminating immunity for gun manufacturers who knowingly put weapons of war on our streets. We owe it to all those we’ve lost and to all those left behind to grieve to make a change. The time to act is now.

Guess it'll be a while before ammo is available again.

His ATF director is going to be a big problem unless at least 51 Senators decide not to support the guy.

the administration has leaked to the AP that in fact Biden will appease the Civilian Disarmament Industrial Complex by nominating David Chipman to head the gun regulator.

Who is David Chipman? He’s a former ATF agent and a current senior policy advisor to the Giffords gun control operation.

So to sum up, President Grampy McUnity is reportedly going to throw the gun-grabbing community a brontosaurus-sized bone by nominating one of their own to head the agency that’s charged with interpreting gun laws and regulating Americans’ right to keep and bear arms.

Plus we get to see what tomorrow's Executive Orders bring.

Can the Feds accurately and legally describe a "ghost gun" and give statistics as to how many of these are used in crimes? As for not having serial numbers, when did it become mandatory to have serial numbers (1968?) and did crime stop after that point?

There goes any hope for primers any time soon :(
A .22 in your pocket is better than a .45 at home in your closet, but a 380 is better! Carry everyday everywhere you legally can. I carry a Taurus TCP 380 or a S&W 642 .38 Revolver, and always carry my tiny NAA .22LR Revolver in my sock.

What is amazing and sad to me is that now politicians (with the willing help of a news media which refuses to question or fact check any stupid thing they say) are demonizing accuracy. :( A mass murderer or other criminal doesn't care about accuracy the way law abiding gun owners do. A gang banger doesn't care if he or she injures or kills a dozen people around the intended target, and a mass murderer usually just wants to initially hit a large number of victims, then walk up to them and finish them off at close range. At least that has been the MO of most mass shootings. It's the law abiding gun owner who concerns themselves with accuracy, because unlike a mass shooter, the good guy/gal is trying to hit only the bad guy/gal, without endangering innocent people. I have an acquaintance who is part of a church security team. When he is in his car in the parking lot he has an AR pistol, because he believes the best defense against a mass shooter who might be armed with an AR is his own AR. The stabilizing brace helps him to be more accurate and decreases the chance of his bullets going somewhere other than a mass shooter.

I think of this as a blessing.

Finally we have the naked truth, they're making their move...and our Statehouse / downballot GOP hangers on are exposed. Time to put up or be shut out. Local officials in rural counties will be put to the test. Who are you? With Freedom or against it? Did you dig the lockdowns, are you for open borders and an unarmed populace?

Rubber finally hitting the road...this CAN happen in America and now the comforts are stripped away.
