Anyone else here part of a FNRA committee ?

Post by Bruenor »

Curious if anyone else works on a FNRA committee and what your thoughts were on the recent changes in administrative fees...

Is your group planning on proceeding with your event this year accepting the higher fees, confident you can still raise enough funds for it to be worthwhile ?
are you looking at alternatives to raise funds for Youth Shooting as banquets are probably a non starter again this year due to state mandates ?
Did your committee just say "that's too much" over the fee increase and cancel your plans to do anything this year ?

Our committee is still trying to decide what to do this year. Considering surrendering our deposit on the hall at this point, since we don't know if we can even have the event. and if we can what the limit in attendees would be. 150 was the number we guessed, which is about 1/3 of our normal attendance and with that small of a turnout we would be hard pressed to cover the package costs and admin fees, hall and catering. so ultimately a lot of work for no return.

I can see where with this increase there might not be any point for some of the smaller groups, to even bother trying to host an event if admin and package fees would eat up everything they would possibly raise.

Feel free to PM your response.
