Inapropriate language reminder! Please read...

Post by charben »

Participation on these forums has been growing pretty steadily over the last few months. That's a good thing.

However, that also means that there are more people that might not have seen Moderator comments in threads where people used language that wasn't picked up by the filter, yet still violate our Terms of Service. So, this note serves as a reminder and clarification of our TOS policy on language.

Here is the primary rule that would apply to our editing of language:
• This is a family-oriented forum. It is the property of Ohioans For Concealed Carry. Any user who becomes disruptive or a distraction to the forum community may be removed or have his/her posts edited. We at OFCC believe in the entire constitution and are not fans of censorship. However, from time to time, posts may be deemed to be inappropriate for the forum for reasons detailed in this Terms of Service document and will be subject to editing or removal.
You may have noticed that our software will pick up certain words and automatically edit them out of posts. However, it is not perfect and will not always pick up "abbreviations" or "acronyms." Those words that represent inappropriate language are still in violation of TOS. Moderators try to keep up with that as best as possible. But with the increasing number of users, this is getting more and more difficult.

Please be aware of this as you continue to enjoy our forums!

Thanks!
Chris
