Cincinnati Paddling Question

Post by mrbone »

Anyone in Cincinnati know of a good public launch into the Little Miami river for a standup paddle board? Or some other river? Needs to be an area with calm and slow current so I can paddle upstream. I'm hoping to come down there for the Ohio River paddlefest, but if that gets cancelled I'm looking for a backup plan.

Thanks!

Paddlefest has been cancelled, but Miamisburg has a ramp on the Great Miami river. I know its not Cincinnati or the Little Miami river but it's fairly slow moving.

There's a public launch right next to a commercial canoe livery near Fort Ancient.
This is the page for Morgan's, the livery. Follow their directions and map, just watch to turn one driveway early to get to the public launch instead of their parking lot:

There is also a put-in at Miamiville on the Little Miami as well as one at the canoe livery in Milford.
