Women and the Castle Doctrine

Postby AmendII71 » Fri Mar 21, 2014 10:15 am

Just wondering if anyone has any facts on how often women are charged with a crime when shooting an intruder in their home, vs. when men are charged under similar circumstances. Not trying to raise a women vs. men debate here, I was actually curious because I wanted to compare and see if in fact women are given a little more leeway in terms of "proving their life was being threatened or that they were subject to serious bodily harm". I am currently trying to get my wife more prepared for a possible break in at home. Thanks!
