He was a retired Kettering PD officer and a host of a radio show in Dayton called "Shootin from the hip" on WHIO radio. Although I talked to him (in person not on the air) many times over the years, I hadn't talked to him or seen him recently, and didn't even know he had passed away until I saw this news report.
