Police said 41-year-old Ira Cox-Berry approached and grabbed an 11-year-old girl while she was playing on the playground of a local elementary school, which was later identified as Lincoln Elementary School.

According to police, a school employee located nearby confronted Cox-Berry and ordered him to leave the premises.

Cox-Berry then let go of the child, allowing the employee time to get all the children into a classroom.

Shortly after, Cox-Berry approached the building and began punching the window. Police said it appeared he was trying to force his way inside.

As Cox-Berry was doing this, the employee pulled out a firearm which held Cox-Berry off while they called police.
