Biden again telling LE to shoot for the legs

Post by M-Quigley »

It will be very interesting times if this guy is elected and is able to appoint an AG. :( Plus, if funds are "diverted" from LE, training might likely be reduced anyway.

Good news is that he'll have impact over fewer cops...so they'll need lesser training budgets naturally.
There are now fewer police officers per person in the United States than at any point in the last 25 years, recently released federal data show, after over a decade of decline.

There were roughly 214 police officers per 100,000 Americans in 2019, according to the latest figures from the Census Bureau's Annual Survey of Public Employment and Payroll, which tracks employment across state and local governments. That represents a 1.5 percent decline from 2018 and a 9 percent drop from 2007, when police numbers last peaked.

Since that year, the number of sworn officers has declined precipitously, thanks in part to the Great Recession's effects on police budgets and in part to growing hostility to law enforcement in the years since mass protests in Ferguson, Mo. Recent events, including a wave of retirements and the cancellations of recruitment classes amid public outcry and COVID-driven budget crunches, suggest that the trend will persist through 2020.

Yes, shoot em in the leg, totally safe, what could possibly go wrong.
Another brilliant suggestion from Joe 'just fire two blasts into the air' Biden. All our policing problems are solved.

Huh wonder why he didn't suggest we give all police double barreled shotguns.......

Already tough for cops to keep shooting ranges open. Now they need new ranges to practice trick shots.

Except Biden has said he "absolutely" wants to divert funds from LE to social programs.

Thank goodness that shots to the leg don't produce the sort of horrific damage that shots to the arm do...

Biden has shown his complete ignorance in the concerns of self defense shootings for law enforcement. A simple perusal of several video sharing sites that have catalogued countless examples of body camera footage will demonstrate to anyone with half a brain how chaotic, how violent and desperate some of these shootings can be and how stupid his recommendations are. Doctors, self defense experts, legal experts and law enforcement can all agree that leg shots are a bad idea for various important reasons.

I keep hearing Democrats say they are the party of science and say we need to pay attention to experts. Why do they continue to ignore the clear experts when it comes to self defense shootings?

Yeah, shoot the bad guy in the leg so he falls down, still fully in charge of his faculties and still armed with nothing to do except shoot back when LE approaches to apprehend him. What could go wrong?
