Warning shots for the protestors rioters.. video at link

https://www.breitbart.com/social-justic ... hborhoods/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
On Monday night, rioters in Kenosha, Wisconsin spread their civil unrest from primarily urban and commercial centers, to residential areas.

And the residents in those areas were having none of it.

Shortly after midnight, a group of demonstrators got in their cars and traveled to a residential neighborhood where they parked in a grassy area across from a row of houses. As they began exiting their vehicles, a homeowner emerged from his house and began firing warning shots at the rioters.
I've never advocated for warning shots, but in this case it looks like they had the desired effect.

Warning shots have way more potential downside than upside for sure, but they fall into that "Never say never" category of options.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

Might be a time when I want to get out my blank firing starter pistol to have along with my carry weapon.

If you're a threat worth scaring, you're a threat worth shooting. Otherwise, you're not really a threat.

This was conventional wisdom. But, just like an AR in the trunk of your car is stupid, the no warning shots thing has gone by the wayside in the new normal of mass unlawfulness and breakdown of rule of law.

It’s a bit of a new world when you call the police and they don’t come. It’s a bit of a new world when DAs let looters right back out on the streets. A few warning shots to prevent looting, and death of said looters or homeowners, seems like a pretty good idea vs actually having to engage with the looters.

New times, new thinking.

Warning shot was fired in...what direction? Hopefully into a OSHA approved non- PCB plastic semi-round barrel, filled with ballistic approved sand , with a minimum depth of 12'', and drain holes in the bottom for water removal, with a laminated placard giving instructions, all blessed and carrying the 'approved in CA' label, and, and, and.....oh...

From the article
The would-be rioters began to flee as the man fired several more shots. In another incident, a group of rioters attacked ...
Acquisitions thus far:

-Slingshot
-Butter knife
-Soda straw and peas
-Sharpened pencil
-Newspaper roll
--water balloon (*diversionary*)

Yeah, I'm that good

Looks like overnight it's gone to shooting for keeps. Police can't respond in time, gotta save your neighborhood yourself. As Werz said over on Facebook, that's what democracy looks like sometimes.

And my reply was that our ancestors built this country out of rocks, dirt, and trees. They didn't take kindly to anyone tearing it down, and responded appropriately. We shouldn't ever forget that.

The Maoists got used to being protected from their victims by the police.

Things have changed.

Despite the governor's decision to declare a state of emergency after a second night of violence, police and the national guard were once again largely absent in a stream of horrifying video from last night's riots, which at times devolved into open street warfare between groups of rioters and armed people allegedly there to protect property.

Update (1500ET): Kenosha Police Chief Dan Miskinisconfirmed that a a teenager from Antioch Illinois was involved in last night's incident, and that an "out of state" person is currently in custody. However, the investigation is still "very much ongoing", he said. He wouldn't confirm any names. "I will take complete ownership of the lack of media releases...in the past five days, I have slept 3 hours."

The shootings are being investigated by the FBI and the city police department.

Just watched multiple videos of the 17 year-old shooter, the guy he shot, and the people who pursued the shooter. Surprising to me how many people seem to think they are wearing armor, especially the ones pursuing the shooter. He already shot one person who was attacking him. Why would you think he would not do it again?

Hopefully the lesson will make it's rounds in the rioter's circle and showing up armed will mean more.

Of course, they're not law followers and we are, so it could easily become a one-upmanship sort of thing, and we'd find ourselves facing firearms, explosive launched by man-held sligshots, etc, etc.

Updated tag line for the thread. thanks CNN.

Image
“Fiery But Mostly Peaceful Protests After Police Shooting,” the news network’s television headline blared while its reporter, Omar Jimenez, stood in front of several burning cars.

The footage features Jiminez explaining to viewers that while the city burns to the ground behind him, the so-called protesters destroying the blue-collar midwestern town were being “mostly peaceful.”

There was a picture posted that I found on the Corvette Forum of all places of the idiots arm that got shot.

His new name is going to be Stumpy. It blew a baseball sized divot out of his upper arm, the muscle is gone. It is starting to really get real.
