At one point he was lamenting what a crappy job our country has done with the COVID response. not harsh enough lockdowns, etc. and how it's never going to end because we are not serious enough about it. Then goes on to tell me about the family vacation planned to universal Studios in Florida in a couple weeks. for him the wife and 3 kids..
I can only laugh at how some people criticize the actions of others during this 'pandemic' then exhibit behaviors contrary to what they claim everyone should be doing. I mean you're supposedly concerned about the virus never ending because the govt and people are not taking it serious enough, so you go to a Theme park ? where you will interact with thousands of other people ? really ?

Well, yeah. Typical socialist... rules are for thee not for me. It is always other people who should be doing/contributing more.

Underneath the line graphs are state maps where if you put the cursor over a particular county you can get specific numbers for that county. Yes, Ohio overall in an extremely slight uptick in cases, but nowhere near what they were. The people in general that are currently getting covid now are not dying at the rate that it used to be either. This site isn't just for Ohio either, you can get stat's for other states as well.
I wonder where they get their numbers? Here in KY our idiot gov still does daily press to cover the China Cough. He goes over the death rate and case numbers, the other day he said we had 8 new deaths for that day. Turns out we only had 4 new deaths that day and the other 4 was from a audit that reached back towards Christmas time.

I wonder that too. The Ohio department of health posts their raw numbers on their website, so maybe there? Here is the usafacts.org statement on their website:
USAFacts presents metrics on all US governments, from federal records to a growing collection of state and county data, including coronavirus data. We also produce a 10-K modeled on the document that public companies must submit annually to the SEC for transparency and accountability to their investors.
What makes USAFacts different:
Comprehensive
We offer a complete view of government impact and finances, from the federal level to the county where you live. We’re always collecting and adding metrics from the nation’s more than 90,000 government entities.
Understandable
We gather metrics from government sources and standardize them so they’re easy to grasp. That means detailed reports and clear, vibrant visualizations illustrating the data.
Factual and Unbiased
We rely only on figures from government agencies and present them without bias. You can use the data to judge the country’s direction for yourself. We don’t answer to a board or political group. We have no agenda other than improving debates — and, by extension, American democracy — with government facts that every American deserves to see.
Contextual
USAFacts uses government data from many different sources, allowing you to see the big picture all in one place. Each metric is presented with historical context so you can make your own comparisons. Our visualizations are simple to navigate so that you can measure changes over time.
I just listened to part of a podcast on Covid given by Dr. Valerie Montgomery Rice, president and dean of the Morehouse School of Medicine, and her initial comments on the current stat's is basically what I said, # of cases are plateauing at a low level. but comparative cases of hospitalizations, ICU admissions, and deaths related to covid are all significantly down. All good news that the MSM could report but refuses to for some reason.
She did go on to say that herd immunity has not been reached yet and there is a concern about the numbers changing due to new variants, but for now covid is generally not the stressor on the health care system the way it used to be.
The facts of the matter is, no matter which side ppl were / are on masks-no-masks, THE TIME FOR THIS IS OVER. MANY many again I say many Ohioans have immunity , RIGHT NOW, either by gettn sick or gettn a shot. Some both! And unfortunately with diseases comes deaths but also...treatments. And that word typed in a plural is CORRECT, we now have SEVERAL treatments for this bugger virus.
And...it's coming summer...ppl are outside spaced out more...
fresh air...

“In this situation it’s important to me as an elected official, as the boss of a large office, that I have to make sure that we are all safe, first of all. That my employees are safe, that they’re co-workers are safe. That they’re families are safe. And certainly that the people they come into contact with whether it’s survivors, victims, juries, potential jurors, judges, the police officers that come in daily and so it’s important to me that we keep everybody safe,” Heck said.
Creech argues that Heck’s stance to require the vaccine should not event be on the table at the moment. Creech himself said he does not plan to get the shot.
“To say take the shot or take a hike, I think that’s a bold statement. And it’s just not the way that anyone should operate,” Creech said. “These products are not approved by the FDA, so technically what they’re doing is forcing a vaccine that’s not been approved by the FDA on their people.”

The spelling could be a lot better by either the reporter or Mr. Heck.
The Heck with his policy, I might consider it worthy of following if it had complete FDA approval, not waiting 20 years for a tv ad that starts: "If you had a Pfizer COVID vaccine in 2021, call the law offices of..."

1. The voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential.
This means that the person involved should have legal capacity to give consent; should be so situated as to be able to exercise free power of choice, without the intervention of any element of force, fraud, deceit, duress, overreaching, or other ulterior form of constraint or coercion; and should have sufficient knowledge and comprehension of the elements of the subject matter involved as to enable him to make an understanding and enlightened decision. This latter element requires that before the acceptance of an affirmative decision by the experimental subject there should be made known to him the nature, duration, and purpose of the experiment; the method and means by which it is to be conducted; all inconveniences and hazards reasonably to be expected; and the effects upon his health or person which may possibly come from his participation in the experiment.
The duty and responsibility for ascertaining the quality of the consent rests upon each individual who initiates, directs or engages in the experiment. It is a personal duty and responsibility which may not be delegated to another with impunity.
SNIP
9. During the course of the experiment the human subject should be at liberty to bring the experiment to an end if he has reached the physical or mental state where continuation of the experiment seems to him to be impossible.
You must have the capacity (or ability) to make the decision.
The medical provider must disclose information on the treatment, test, or procedure in question, including the expected benefits and risks, and the likelihood (or probability) that the benefits and risks will occur.
You must comprehend the relevant information.
You must voluntarily grant consent, without coercion or duress.
This here is what we call a bright red line, ya'all.

On Friday, Heck issued rules for those few who returned to work with exemptions. “If you need to enter another’s work area … a mask MUST be worn for the entire time you are present EVEN IF ALONE. You must also DISINFECT ITEMS TOUCHED with antibacterial wipes,” the office missive stated.
“Remain in your office/cubicle with door closed (as applicable as much as possible),” it added, stressing that unvaccinated employees would be strictly forbidden to attend staff meetings in person.
On Monday, Stephanie Stock, president of Ohio Advocates for Medical Freedom, said her group learned that the county prosecutor fired one employee who refused to take an injection.
“He is an absolute villain,” Stock said of Heck, but other employees in his office had mistreated people who questioned the protocols.
‘You idiot’
Assistant prosecutor James Staley, who works in Heck’s office, replied to an Ohio resident’s email that pointed out all current COVID-19 vaccinations in circulation have been granted Emergency Use Authorization only and so cannot be mandated by insulting her.
“No it's not you idiot,” Staley emailed in reply.

“These issues are complex, the science is evolving, the science is moving, and we are following the science each and every day and our guidance is evolving as the science evolves,” said Walensky during a Wednesday interview on CNBC’s “The News with Shepard Smith.”
TITLE:
The evolving science of face masks and COVID-19
The CDC issued new recommendations in February to encourage people to improve the fit and filtration of their masks. Drawing on the findings of lab experiments, the agency suggested layering a cloth mask over a disposable one—a form of “double masking”—or using a mask fitter or brace, among other options.
Over the last year, additional research has generally supported the notion that face masks can reduce transmission of the virus, although proof is still lacking.
Science doesn't evolve or move, it either proves or disproves a theory.
Economies and people are dynamic, not simple levers to be controlled in a lab setting.
Get bent, morons.
POLITICAL SCIENCE changes, with food prices, $7/gallon gas in Virginia, unemployment, etc...you betcha Political Science changes.

: "We now have science that has really just evolved even in the last two weeks that demonstrates that these vaccines are safe, they are effective."
