One of the glaring fallacies of red flag gun laws

Red flag gun laws are being sold on the premise that if you have someone who might be a danger to others that if you merely take their guns away there will be no mass murder. The obvious problem with that is if the person is truly a danger to others and nothing is done with the person, the danger is still there. They can just either get another gun (you can get anything illegally, particularly if you don't care because your a mass murderer) or choose another method. There was a mass murder in Tenn recently and when the story first came out some usual anti gunners made comments about this shows the need for this or that gun law, blah blah.

On Tuesday, the medical examiner said all seven victims in the case died as a result of blunt force trauma.
The sad fact is if there had a gun involved (in the hands of one of the victims) perhaps 7 people wouldn't be dead right now. Or if the system had actually done something with the alleged killer like actually keeping him in prison or putting him in a mental institution, whatever, not merely giving him probation on the promise he'll take a mental health exam sometime in the future. :(
