PA Attorney General = GUILTY!

Post by Stryker74 »

The PA AG was found guilty of 2 counts of perjury and 6 counts of abuse of her powers of office yesterday:

Why post this here in Ohio? Well, if you go back a few years to right after she took office - you will recall that she invoked her powers to start limiting reciprocity for carry in PA (2013):

Sadly, as you read through the first link - the corruption around her charges stemmed from lots of other corruption. There is plenty of mud to sling all around PA it seems...

Yet another politician taking advantage of their office to push their agenda - rather than serving the people. The PA Governor had called for her resignation when she was arrested/charged - but she declined. Now, she has to resign by the day of her sentencing per the guidelines of the PA constitution.

Appeals denied, and finally booked into jail

A county judge appointed a special prosecutor to investigate Kane after former prosecutors with the attorney general's office alerted him that secret grand jury material had been leaked to a newspaper.

Kane asked the high court to hear her case earlier this year, after the state Superior Court affirmed her conviction for perjury and for leaking grand jury information to hurt a rival.

She had argued among other things that a special prosecutor who first built the case against her lacked legal authority.

The justices, in their unanimous decision, did not provide an explanation for their denial.

Judge Wendy Demchick-Alloy ordered Kane to report to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility

'Given that the rationale for (the) defendant remaining at liberty pending appeal has expired, post-sentence bail is revoked'.
That sure took a while.
