Howdy, my name is James and I live in Columbus.

I open carried between July of 2017 til March of this year (2019) when I got my CHL, which means I've carried a gen 3 Glock 19 every time I leave the house for nearly 2 years.

I'm an strong supporter of the 2A along with the rest of the constitution, much of it underappreciated.

I appreciate that this community exists and look forward to finding out how good of a fit I am here.

Welcome. I'm curious about your experiences with open carry, when you were doing so. Any negative encounters with anyone?

Not really anything negative. Most I ever got was a joking comment from a Kroger employee saying something about me expecting trouble in the shampoo aisle. I made a joke back saying that dandruff is dangerous.

I got noticed by a dude on a motorcycle once and he asked what I was carrying, complimenting me on my choice before wishing me a good day.

I might be an exception but I never had any issues with open carrying. I also tried doing it as subtly and respectfully as I could. No AR-15 strapped to back kinda deal.

Thanks for replying. I'm not surprised by your open carry experiences. But, there are those who react irrationally, or with animas.
