problems with paragraphs

Post by ashtabula »

I have made a few post, but I'm still new here. I seem to be having a problem posting. It seems my paragraph indentations disappear when the reply is posted. in one instance I edited the reply, all seemed well, but when submitted the indentations were gone. in another post the indentations were missing. I tried to edit, but the indentations were present in the subject panel. when I hit submit, the indentations were again gone. Any Ideas?

I use a carriage return instead.

Seems to work for me anyway.

Did you use the Preview option before the Submit? What did that show?

No I did not use the preview panel. I only used the panel that appears when you hit post reply.

The phpBB software (this forum program) removes all multiple blank spaces automatically from normal text posts.
That means no tabs and no double spaces between sentences.
That's why you see paragraphs separated by a blank line in most, if not all, posts on forums.

Code: Select all

I wasn't sure about this until I tried it .
However, you could place your text in a Code block.
* Edited to remove the double negative. See below.

Four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, ammo - use in that order.
If you aren't part of the solution, then you obviously weren't properly dissolved.
