New in Northern Kentucky

Post by meadeam »

Hello all. I live in Northen Kentucky, but spend a good deal of time in Ohio on a regular basis. I've browsed around these boards a bit, and there seem to be some thoughtful and intelligent posters here. I do not carry currently, but will be taking a class as soon as I find one I can get into. I do not have a carry weapon yet either, but will likely demo a few while I am at the range with my S&W 357 Magnum. Pretty sure I'll stick with a revolver.

As I am sure you are all aware, the internet is awash with CCW info, some of it good, some of it bad. I hope this forum winds up being as helpful as it seems.

Welcome aboard! Why not just carry your S&W .357?
IANAL, YMMV, other standard disclaimers, yada, yada, yada, etc, ad nauseum, in infinitum.

I've considered it. It's a little difficult to conceal, though it can be done with a coat on. It is a lovely weapon.

Welcome to the forums!

Not sure what part of Northern KY you call home, but I was recently down in Vanceburg at a friends restaurant. Also, headed down to Cold Spring for some work tomorrow. Great state - bumped into a gent open carrying in Vanceburg.

After watching Justified, I keep itching to make a visit to Harlan...

I'm in Fort Thomas, just across the river from Cincinnati. I spend as many of my waking hours in Ohio as I do Kentucky, and rarely venture further south. I should become more aquainted with the state I live in though... I'm pretty much a Cincinnatian who happens to live in KY.
