So how do we get rid of Brunner ? Can we say she's crazy and believes in fictional alternate timelines and parallel universes ?
In an alternate timeline the NFA would have never existed because I would have voted against it, so you can't charge me for having a machine gun. checkmate ATF
Ohio Supreme Court orders supplemental briefing (regarding Bruen) in a criminal case. Justice Brunner dissents, saying that Bruen's test is flawed because there might have been more historic gun control "if women and nonwhite people had been able to vote"
"Arms discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property. . . Horrid mischief would ensue were the law-abiding deprived of the use of them."
- Thomas Paine
"Malo periculosam, libertatem quam quietam servitutem."
Looking at the case, I did not know this about Ohio:
Citing Heller's reference to "long-standing prohibitions," Philpotts argues that, unlike the time-honored prohibitions on the possession of weapons by convicted felons, Ohio's ban on possession of firearms by one who is under indictment is hardly "longstanding." He points out that Ohio, Washington, and Hawaii are the only three states in the country that criminalize the possession of firearms by one who is under indictment.
That's interesting, kcclark. Given that Ohio Clerks of Court are regularly months behind with regards to entering criminal convictions into the records, it's amazing to me that any of them pass along information about potential firearms disqualifications while cases are pending or even in progress.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!
