This seems to be the only bill that has legs this session. After unanimously passing the Senate, it has its first hearing in the House Civil Justice committee this Tuesday May 19. Interestingly, it is a combined Sponsor/Proponent/Opponent/Interested Party hearing.

I'm hopeful there are many good amendments waiting in the wings for this one.

Good amendment.
Now to check back with the Senate and send it to the Guber.

Are there enough votes and time to override his veto?

It looked to me like there were just enough votes to override a veto. As to time, I think so - he has 10 days, not including Sundays, to sign it or veto it or it becomes law as if he'd signed it. As I count it, if it was presented to the governor yesterday when it was enrolled, he must sign or veto it before end of the day on the 30th, leaving the 31st for an emergency session to override.WY_Not wrote:Are there enough votes and time to override his veto?

I have been looking as well, and not even crickets can be heard.
Would have thought the Squealer & Disgrace would have been crowing loudly if he vetoed it, so maybe he let it go thru ?

You can find armchair lawyers who say it is now law since it was not posted as being vetoed within the required timeline.

From the Ohio Constitution:
If a bill is not returned by the governor within ten days, Sundays excepted, after being presented to him, it becomes
law in like manner as if he had signed it, unless the General Assembly by adjournment prevents its return; in which
case, it becomes law unless, within ten days after such adjournment, it is filed by him, with his objections in writing,
in the office of the secretary of state. The governor shall file with the secretary of state every bill not returned by
him to the house of origin that becomes law without his signature.
When did the Senate adjourn? If they adjourned before Dec. 30, 2020, it looks like the governor has ten days from the date they adjourned to veto the bill and file it with the Secretary of State.

Re: S.B. 175: NonProfit civil immunity for carrying handgun
Update: It seems the Senate adjourned on Dec. 31, 2020.
So, it looks like all depends on the exact day the Senate-passed bill was delivered to the governor's office. If Dec. 18 or 19, it's in; later than that, he still can veto it.
Actually I don't see any reason he would delay a veto now if he intends one; at this point the General Assembly can't override one anymore.
