Everyone is welcome, but you must buy a ticket in advance if you want to enjoy the catered picnic lunch.

For the past few years, almost everyone has walked away with a door prize in the drawing*, thanks to all of the generous donors!

Lunch Tickets will cost $25 per person (children 15 and under are free).
Info: https://ohioccw.org/index.php?option=co ... et=1&id=25" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Register Here: https://ohioccw.org/index.php?option=co ... et=1&id=25" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Anyone looking to help with door prizes and/or donations is surely wanted, as well as contacting speakers.

Check in begins at 10:30 am and lunch begins about noon.
Things ought to conclude about 4:30 to 5:00 pm

* No purchase is necessary to participate in the door prize drawing.

Assuming I show up (haven't missed one yet) a 100 round box of .45acp ammunition will likely be my prize table donation.

Any of the other long timers wanna chime in with their contributions?

I'll be bringing a brick of .22LR, might grab something else if the spirit moves me...

I just registered my wife and I, Of course I will bring my camera, as usual. I did notice that this year there is no place on the registration to indicate that my wife is a Vegetarian.

It is loading for me at the moment, maybe it was just a temporary problem?

Who is scheduled to speak this year, and have they cancelled in the last few days? The Republican squishiness is pouring out in the executive and legislative branches since Sunday.

So nobody is scheduled to speak I guess, from the lack of answers? :)

Is there truth in the story that OFCC refused to play the National Anthem at the PitP today?

And, if so, why?

From Pat Larosa's FB post:
[The sound guy] just didn't think opening our picnic with the national anthem and the pledge was appropriate because they didn't used to do it years ago.
He is a volunteer so no pymt. .
He did play some patriotic music, and then we said the pledge before starting the event, but I did not hear the Anthem.

Did he say why? Was he afraid of offending someone (more so than armed citizens already do)?

Wasn't there a coordinator or director present that could have made the request?

It's great to have a volunteer sound guy. It's always been a hassle trying to find someone who can provide the equipment.

As a 'song request', I would understand if the sound guy didn't have it available. Instead, this seems like the person or people requesting the National Anthem were given a hard no.

I think it was a poor decision on the part of the sound guy.

A good decision would be to use the next 360-ish days to procure the services of a different volunteer with sound equipment.

I don't know any more than was posted, I wasn't aware of the issue until after the even was over.

Yes, we had a disagreement about the music.
My wife was offended and made a post on Facebook.
That is her right I would neither try to speak for her nor defend her words unless she asked me to
She hasn't asked

From my position, apologies were offered, accepted, and hands were shook.
After that, things simply got mixed up, and for that, I apologize.
Next year will be better.

(Rumor is, there's a rally coming soon)
