I have never seen so many cosponsors. Concealed Weapons License! Constitutional Carry! If only the Senate doesn't neuter this bill.

Yes, it was - that's what HB86 was for, which takes effect today along with (most of) HB228. I wonder what that's about...M-Quigley wrote:Regarding the part I bolded and underlined, what are they referring to? EDIT: I just looked at that part of the bill, and it indeed tries to fix what is already fixed, so LSC will have to update the bill appropriately.

So you're telling me there's a chance...The Buckeye State could be the next to adopt permitless concealed carry under a bill introduced in the Ohio House this week.
The proposal, House Bill 174, is already backed by nearly 30 Republican lawmakers. The move would modify the state’s current laws to delete the requirement to first obtain a permit to carry a concealed handgun in Ohio, a move that sponsors say is past due.
“We need to get our constitutional rights back,” state Rep. Tom Brinkman, R- Mt. Lookout, told the Cincinnati Enquirer. “The law-abiding citizens are under attack every day.”
The bill would keep Ohio’s current licensing program in place for those who want to use it for the purpose of reciprocity with some 30 other states while traveling.

HB 174 hasn't yet been assigned to committee but is this in preparation for what will probably a contentious debate on Constitutional Carry? The House Federalism Committee has the following on next weeks agenda.
Who will be testifying for the pro-gun side? BFA? OFCC?
http://search-prod.lis.state.oh.us/cm_p ... notice.pdfSCHEDULE TOPIC Possession & Use of Firearms
Unless otherwise notified by the Chairman prior to this week’s meeting, the Committee will hear informal testimony introducing Members to both sides of the debate regarding the possession and use of firearms. The Chair will allow one witness from either side of the debate to provide a presentation prior to questions from the Members of the Committee.
The two witnesses are to be announced.

Thank you Rickt for posting this. I am a couple days behind.
This is good news indeed. LAst GA, when Speaker Householder was just Representative Housesolder, he was a cosponsor of that GA's Constitutional Carry bill, and I am confident that this bill will move through the House, at least.
Folks, please, read this and pick it apart. Find anything that needs fixed, was left out, or just something else we want.
As some of you have already pointed out, there will be amendments made, I would like to have our list ready when the time comes.
