New ‘red-flag’ backer: A long-languishing “red-flag” gun bill proposed by Democratic state Sen. Sandra Williams of Cleveland now has a Republican co-sponsor: state Sen. Peggy Lehner of the Dayton area. As Rick Rouan of the Columbus Dispatch reports, Lehner says other Senate Republicans have said they will also sign on as co-sponsors, though she didn’t name names. As Republicans hold legislative supermajorities, having a GOP co-sponsor is crucial for any Democratic-backed bill to be passed.

Ah yes. Peggy Lehner of HB 70 fame who consistently votes against 2A issues when they come up. No surprise here.
