As a pending landed resident from Canada, am I able to apply for my license in the state of Ohio or anywhere else in the US? I am married to an American and have approval to apply for my status to be changed, but I do want to apply for my license as soon as possible without having to wait.
Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Non-Resident License
I'm not sure about how other states handle non-resident aliens, but in Ohio you must be a resident for at least forty-five days before you can apply.JackoNine wrote:As a pending landed resident from Canada, am I able to apply for my license in the state of Ohio or anywhere else in the US? Jack:
Also, OH does NOT offer a non-resident license. You have to live in OH to get one.

Re: Non-Resident License
I know it is splitting hairs, but you don't have to live in OH, you have to be a resident. For most, that's a distinction without a difference. For those where it matters (military, for example) it really matters.SMMAssociates wrote:Also, OH does NOT offer a non-resident license. You have to live in OH to get one.
