Florida turn around time

Post by buckeyered »

Does anyone know what the current turn around time is for Florida's license?
My wife's Ohio CHL will long have been expired before she gets her appointment and issue so
we mailed her packet to Florida Thursday in hopes they have a faster turn around than Ohio.
My Florida license is good till 2019 so I am in no hurry to renew Ohio since Butler county could care less
if you have to go months without a license (talk to the Deputy you will have the same impression as me)
We let my wife's Florida expire after her illness with cancer but she is recovering well and wanted to renew Ohio so she started the process 30 days before expiration and was told her appointment is in June, she has a few days left in the grace period but after that she has to wait on Florida's.

The only thing that I can tell you is that I have been waiting on my Florida license for over 4 months now. From what they keep telling me is that between them and the FBI they are really busy and are working as fast as they can.

My wife sent her application in for her FL CCL on 1/3/13. Received it 3/14/13!
Edited to note that we are snow birds and the application was sent and returned from our FL address and finger prints were electronic in FL.
