FINALLY, Relief so I can get my Ohio license

Post by OhioMike »

Now that the "Castle Doctorine" has passed ( as soon as the Governor signs it) I will be able to get my Ohio license

I have a Non Resident Florida and Virginia license all ready but now
I can finally get my Ohio license

It is about time that Ohio caught up to all the other States regs.

I will be applying the day the Governor signs and the bill is active

The bill should take effect ninety days after it is signed.

I would like to thank OFCC and ATTY Don Gallick for their prior help
and I would like to urge everyone to donate any amount to help OFCC.

You could legally carry in Ohio with your FL or VA license. I would get an Ohio license ASAP. There are some states that only allow reciprocity if you live in the state that your license is from. If you want to carry in MI, SC, WV or KS, you will need an Ohio license. If you are afraid to carry until Castle Doctine has passsed, don't carry until then.

I have an Ohio and a PA license. That gets me to Florida without any problems. I should get a Florida license. It adds a lot to the reciprocity states.

Take a look at New Hampshire--With an Ohio and PA license, it gives you everything that a Florida would, except Nevada for a lot less money.

OhioMike:

I hate to say it, so I'll say "senior moment", but I've been trying to remember your name all day.

I hope this turns out to be the really good news you've been waiting for.

Regards,
Stu.

I guess this should "Silence" those few visitors here who had made posts trying to "Crucify" me because I had one
indiscretion over 20 years ago, yet a court had granted me an Expungement. Posters here were screaming at me
that I was a law breaker and always will be one, hence I should never be able to obtain a license. It seems to me
that narrow minded people such as this are the ones who we should be wary of. 8)

Now Ohio follows all the other States who have had this all along.

I have never disagreed with Expungement, it is a very valid process. Hopefully Ohio will follow through on this and put a true Expungement into place.

I have a good friend who became a felon for selling 1/4 oz of maryj to a guy who had turned undercover narq to get out of his own arrest for drugs.

Mike did you get an Expungement or was your conviction just sealed ?

Bill
Have a great day today unless you have made other plans :-).

Sorry, I misunderstood. I thought that you did not want to get your license until the Castle Doctrine became law. Now I understand your reasons.
