Do you want the rest of us to bring some wheel weights or other forms of raw lead to the party?

If nobody else offers a location, I think we could meet again at my place. We could 'Circle the wagons' and setup in the parking lot. I've got the sawhorses/board to make a bench to cool ingots on.

When would be a good date? April 6th is open for me.

If we want to start at about 6pm, we can chip in for a Pizza or two and fire up the smelter(s) early.

If this is a good idea, I'll re-post the address. I edited it out of the earlier posts.

Is there anyplace in your parking lot that is at least 10-15 feet away from a building and is level?

It looks like the most level spot is right in front of the front door.
The slope is about the same as your normal driveway.
We can park cars parallel to the building, 30-40 ft away.

If the weather doesn't cooperate, we can still meet inside and forgo the demonstration.

Tuesday, April 6th also works for me.
I don't have any lead to bring. But I'll be there for the camaraderie more than the bullets.
I like to swap brass... and I'm looking for .32 H&R Mag, .327 Fed Mag, .380 Auto and 10mm. If you have some and would like to swap for something else, send me a note!

Count me IN.
I still have no lead to offer. The real boner of that is that I bought a stinkin' brand new car tire last week ($$$) and tried to beg, borrow or steal a bucket of lead from the guys at the tire shop. No can do.

I got nuthin'.

Guys- I just got the soccer schedule in email, we start practices Tuesday the 6th at 6:30.
So that means I am out for this one. Sorry!

The only day that would work for me is the 7th.

If moving it to the 7th gets me closer to Evan Price's little baggies of .32 H&R and 10mm brass, then I'm all for moving it to the 7th!

(plus it gives me one more day to find some lead! :o )

Try putting on a hooded robe and ring a bell while walking up and down the streets with a cart and yell, "Bring out your lead!" :-)

I could tell them that I work in conjunction with the U.S. Census and their participation is required by law!

I have a 5 gal pail of WW to be s'melted!
I'll have to go through it to sort out the soft lead (tape) weights and the zinc crap from the meltable stock.
I also scored another muffin pan and a medium size SS bowl to do the soft lead apart from the WW stock.

BobK will you be able to bring your furnace, bowl, dippers, and thermometer? Somebody have some parafin?
Bring your own eye protection and leather gloves if you plan to help.
We can gather any time after 6pm for the demo / exercise. Come when you can, leave when you need to.

BB

Please post a 'will attend' note here. If the weather take a turn (rain), we can still meet to swap stories and answer questions.

#$&# #$@ it.
I can't do it on Wednesday.

I can do Monday... I could do Thursday. Evan is no good for Tuesday and I can't do Wednesday.
I wonder if I'll ever make another meeting?
