I had a few trashed at first. After I got it all calibrated, it went good. I used the same load that we used that day. I really like the auto disc. Works pretty nice.

Well. It's called learning for a reason. I was looking at round.... after loading 50 of these suckers. I had forgot to check the crimp. Turned out to be .450

Take the barrel out of your pistol and drop one in the chamber and see where they wind up. Odds are it's OK but you have to check.

mike, having your crimp at .450 is gonna jump your pressure up. How high I don't know.

I think I'd just pull that batch. You can buy new bullets or replace a gun if you blow it. Good replacement eyes and hands are to find.

I just went down and tried to match your .450 crimp on a dummy round. The best I could do was .458 and that looked so screwed up I wouldn't attempt to shoot it out of my gun.

The .45 acp headspaces off of the mouth of your cartridge. Proper crimp is .469-.472. .450 is way undersize.

Tear them apart, throw bullets and cases away, just save the powder. If you need more cases, I'll give you some.

Evan, quit using big words, I had to look that up and still can't figure out what it means.

Thanks. Jim. I'll get a bullet puller. Man. wished I'd thought of the crimp beforehand. At least everything else went smooth, Mike

Wow, maybe I need reading glasses, but I swore you said .460. The pictures don't look that bad- a bulge at the base- but if the neck is .450- way too small. You using a FCD?
