Yes, it is odd, but fairgrounds are required to post the buildings.

And, in my opinion, barns are not buildings.

Only some of them (those that qualify as "government facilities") and only sometimes - if the fair board adopts a rule permitting carry in those buildings considered "government facilities" they will not have to post signage as of March 28th.Javelin Man wrote:Yes, it is odd, but fairgrounds are required to post the buildings.

Well, they *are* "buildings" but may not be considered "government facilities" since they arguably qualify as "shelters" and would then be exempt form the definition of "government facility".concreteguy wrote:And, in my opinion, barns are not buildings.
By the way, this would be a good time to approach your county fair board and lobby to have them adopt a rule allowing concealed carry in those buildings considered "government facilities" so that they no longer have to post signs and worry about it.
