Schmidt's Restaurant Removes Signs

Post by Louis »

The owners of Schmidt's Restaurant at 220 E. Kossuth in the German Village section of Columbus have just removed their No-Guns signs. If you like really good German food at reasonable prices you might give them a try and thank them for removing the signs.

Thanks. The wife and in-laws are German. Might have to make a trip up there for them.

I'm glad I can go again. This weekend I'll get a group together and chow down! I'll of course have to be the DD ( ), but water or a soda will work.

It was small, and very, very low on the window next to the door. Easy for anyone to miss.

I will have to ask my buddy if he had an influence there. He does computer work for one of the brothers, and has started talking to him about guns.

Good - now I can go enjoy the real deal Bahama Mama's with a Creme Puff after! (Instead of buying the Bahama Mama's in the store...)

As memory serves that landmark restaurant has been posted for almost as long as Ohio has been issuing CHL's. Good to read of this change. 8)

I might consider lifting my boycott on them if the signs have been removed. Those caused quite an awkward moment for me (plus an extra mile of walking to disarm). Then again, service was pretty terrible that time too, so perhaps not..
