Post by e3mrk11 »

If Ohio votes for Constitutional Carry will we still get a license of some kind for when we go out of State to show Law enforcement in case we are stopped?

Yes, Ohio will retain the current licensing system for reciprocity with other states. So far, all states that have started with licenses or permits that have passed constitutional or unlicensed carry have continued to issue license or permits for reciprocity.

The only state with Constitutional Carry that doesn't have a licensing scheme is Vermont where the Constitutional Carry was mandated by the State Supreme Court when there was no licensing system in place. Constitutional Carry everywhere else has been by statute to supplement an previously enacted licensing system. This puts Vermonters in an awkward position that requires them to obtain a non-resident license from some other state like Florida in order to carry in other states, but that also restricts them in states like Michigan which does not honor non-residential licenses.
