Is your favorite gun range open
Just wondering how many gun ranges are still open. I don't mean PRIVATE clubs I mean public ranges.
How many in your area are open?
There's a few around here but they're limiting the number of shooters at one time.
Sherwin's in Eastlake, Shoot Point Blank in Mentor and Atwell's in Painesville.

Re: Is your favorite gun range open
Most if not all of the 8-9 here in the Cincytucky area. Didn't bother checking with a couple, since they're not in my orbit. Tried talking with the owner where I have a membership, his rationale didn't make much sense to me. Not going into that here, but if we'd been having a college type debate, he got waxed. It's his business, his decision, but I walked out with a free two month extension to my annual membership.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

The last I checked, the ranges at Shoot Point Blank are now open for members (limited hours only) and for classes. Premier Range & Training (West Chester), members only. I believe Mayday gun range in Oxford is open. Target World (Kemper Road) is closed. Not sure about Vandalia Range & Armory. ODNR outdoor range at Spring Valley is still closed.

You're right about Shoot Point Blank allowing MEMBERS only and classes.rainmaker wrote:The last I checked, the ranges at Shoot Point Blank are now open for members (limited hours only) and for classes. The Bullet Ranch in Pataskala is opened at reduced capacity (only every other lane open), single shooters only per lane, and peak time rates applied at reduced hours.

The state class A ranges (staffed) are closed. Most of the other ranges (unstaffed) are open.

Of course PRIVATE ranges are open but probably subject to no more than 10 people gathering at once I assume!

Blackwing is closed, doing range improvements.
Briar Rabbit stopped all public public competitions but is still open to members. I'm not sure if non members are still able to shoot. They hope to open fully in May.

Re: Is your favorite gun range open
I’m a member at GubHub USA in Sheffield Village. Although the store was open by appointment only since mid March, the range had been closed. The range finally reopened on Friday, May 1, with some restrictions (every other lane open, members requested to wear face masks, etc).
I went yesterday morning to shoot for an hour or so. It felt good to get back.
And, they are giving all current members an additional 2 months on their annual memberships at no charge due to the closure.

Re: Is your favorite gun range open
Seems like all the ranges are open now with some restrictions. Social distancing ( I hate that term) and some require masks even when shooting like Shoot Point Blank in Mentor! Ridiculous! I won't go there if I have to wear a mask when I'm shooting!

I enjoyed going out to Spring Valley but haven’t been back since they’ve reopened. Plan on it in the spring.
