Old and dumb forgetting your gun....

Post by carmen fovozzo »

Had breakfast with a OFCC member yesterday before the Madina gun show...both of our cars were at Bob Evans..

I decided to leave my car and drive with Steve...now comes the dumb part...instead of putting my firearm in MY car Before
we left Bob Evans I hopped in Steve's truck and away we went to the gun show...
In the parking lot at the show I took my firearm off and put it in the center console.

Now comes the OLD part....after the show we head back to Bob Evans and my car....I hop in my car and I'm on my way home..just about there.

I get a call from Steve asking me if I want to buy a S&W Shield....I said no I already have one....Steve said no you don't you forgot it
in my truck...

I felt so old and dumb....

It's ok, Steve lost it in a boating accident. He doesn't own a boat nor is there any body of water near him but that's what happened. :P

Hey, don't worry about it. At least you didn't do something really dumb, like forget you had it on you when getting ready to board a plane or something. I knew someone who did that, and he doesn't even have being old as an excuse. Fortunitely for him he didn't get caught but In 2018, 4000 people did get caught doing that, and almost all of them were like him, legit concealed carriers, who just forgot about the gun.
