Ohioans for Concealed Carry and Ohio Gun Owners have UNITED forces for a rally to combat the wave of anti-freedom gun control legislation being proposed from every corner.
Come join us and a few thousand of our best friends as we celebrate freedom and put politicians on notice that there is no quick and constitutional legislative solution solution to our societal problems.
Red Flag Laws will become the greatest infringement on Free Speech in our country's history if allowed to pass, and rallies like this will be a sure fire way to get a three day psychic evaluation and a hearing on whether you should be permitted your basic human rights to defend yourself.

See you there!

From the event page on Facebook

Mike DeWine and Bloomberg's gun-control organizations have united on a warpath against our cherished freedoms and Second Amendment, and gun owners need to STAND UP and FIGHT BACK!

Join us to RALLY against the DeWine/Bloomberg Gun-Control Agenda (including Universal Gun Registration and Red Flag Gun Confiscation) on the front steps of the Ohio Statehouse only 3 days before the legislature gavels back in!

This 2019 Gun Rights RALLY is being joint-sponsored by Ohio Gun Owners and Ohioans for Concealed Carry and will be the biggest gun-rights event of the entire year!

The grounds will open at 11:00am for your arrival, and the rally will officially kick off at 11:30am and will conclude by 1:00pm-ish.

Firearms are permitted on the Statehouse lawn, and all persons are required to obey federal, state and local laws and, in addition, shall exercise prudence and common sense in light of the heightened awareness around Second Amendment issues.

This event page will be updated with more details as necessary!

Since we're on Free Speech...
22-year-old Connecticut resident Brandon Wagshol was arrested on Friday for posting a meme on social media that authorities claim indicated he showed an interest in committing a mass shooting.

He was arrested after law enforcement received an anonymous tip about the meme, which prompted the arrest of Wagshol as pre-crime becomes a reality as the Bill of Rights becomes a fading memory.

“What I understand is that he didn’t make any comments on Facebook, but there may have been other memes, as they call them, that he might have reposted,” said Darnell Crosland, who is representing Wagshol as his attorney.

In addition, Wagshol’s firearms were seized under Connecticut’s red flag law – in what will become the new status quo across the country if federal lawmakers get their way. The firearms found in Crosland’s home were legal and registered to his father, but were taken anyway.

“I drove to Halstead New Hampshire from Norwalk CT in about 3 hours to acquire 30 round magazines and ammunition to circumvent what I viewed as an unconstitutional restriction on the second amendment,” Wagshol said in his witness statement.

“I purchased 4 30 round magazines and 120 rounds of 300 Blackout ammunition for firearm training. I plan on building an 80% rifle kit which I purchased online from Ceratec, in California. I plan on completing the 80% firearm at my friend Alex’s house in Easton. I did not have the intention of committing any mass shootings at all whatsoever,” he added.

“He made it clear to the police officers that he thought he was doing everything correct,” Crosland said. “He wasn’t trying to hide from the police and he gave a full statement for about an hour.”

Wagshol is a student at Central Connecticut State University. They have banned him from the campus and suspended him indefinitely pending his charges.

SNIP

Red flag laws have already been used over 1,200 times in Connecticut alone, according to News 12 Connecticut report.
DeWhine hopes that people know about & use these laws, recognizing that we can't let the opportunity to do these things (x3) pass...sounding a lot like Rahm Emanuel ( he has wanted ERPOs since April)

From reading the police department press release, this guy got nabbed because somebody tipped off law enforcement that he was not obeying Connecticut's large-capacity magazine law. You're only allowed the ones you already have registered with the state and he ignored that. The meme was just another piece to get the warrant. I've tried finding the meme but failed. Just really curious what my opinion of it would be.

USA Today is touting this as a mass shooting plot that was stopped. From the info USA Today put in the article, saying a mass shooting plot was stopped is a huge leap.

EDIT - addition:

Found a website that claims to have the meme. Glad they explained it since it went over my head. Definitely nothing that says "mass shooting plot" to me.

Also saw some of his Twitter posts. Some racist crap but I saw nothing about him eliminating people.

2 things:
1) Can anyone confirm or deny the FBook event page link in the OP?
When I click it today I see 'The link you followed may be broken or the page may have been removed'.
2) In an email from OGO, it states the following:
'Parking: Under the Statehouse in the parking garage, usually $6. Open air parking on east side of the Statehouse, too.
Firearms Allowed: Yes, this is a gun-rights rally!! Firearms are allowed in the parking garage as well, just not in the Statehouse itself. Please follow all local, state and federal laws.'

I realize no one here may speak for OGO specifically,
But point blank(pun-intended) is CARRYING a firearm in the statehouse underground parking garage legal?

Thank you in advance & carry-on.

I won't speak to the legality, but at previous rallies we have not been hassled for carrying in the garage itself.

Turns out my result was a poorly worded Fbook 'error'. Once logged into Fbook(which I'd been avoiding for months), the link worked well.
Thanks All.
