Rematch? I still get free sticky buns at Anabells with that story. Hate to lose that.

Do we need to bring our own guns and ammo??

I mean, I was planning on it (never leave home without them), but will we need our own ammo for the event?

Absolutely not. All you need to bring is eye and ear protection.

Mr. Glock I believe is remembering a different event, not Lord of the Range.

Thought I'd bump this.

Stages are coming together nicely.
IMO, the best part of an event such as this is that you don't have to worry about packing up your car with tons of gear, dragging said gear around all day, dread all that gun cleaning afterwards and best of all...hanging out with a bunch of great folks.

We'll do the bulk of the shooting before lunch and wrap up by early afternoon.
Still room for YOU.

I won a match like that once mostly because I did so well with the sling shot and BB rifle portions of the thing. Some of the "serious" shooters wouldn't even try the oddball stuff because of giant egos I guess. Thing was, the whole shindig was being done as a fundraiser for a sick child of one of the club honchos. Found myself saying "Lighten up, Francis" several times that day. So FWIW I wholeheartedly endorse what you do with these matches, even if you are a weirdo.

Any idea when "early afternoon" might be?

I may have to drive to Van Wert before heading back to Logan. :|

Honestly, it's going to depend on a few things... Mostly the cooperation of others.

I'm going to do my best to get you guys out by 2 p.m. if not sooner.

I'll resist the temptation to ask what vehicle you got that will make a trip that dist..
Oops.

But about the match: You guys know all too well what a huge difference cooperative participants make. I hear secondhand of a 3 Gun match in my neck of the woods that shouldn't take all day, but ends up doing so almost every time. My friend who goes because it's by far the nearest such event is about to give it up. After a stage or two he realizes only a couple guys besides himself are being helpful in the squad. Apparently he's tried other squads and found the same thing.

In perfect weather with nothing else to do that day, who cares? But how often is that the case? It's funny, those guys who drag things out seemingly because time doesn't matter to them, burn rubber leaving when it's cleanup time.

The club will take care of clean up.

As long as everybody shows up on time and moves efficiently throughout the stages before and after lunch, things should go smoothly. The last time we did this it went very well.
