Miamisburg Match last night - watch the red bouncy thing

Post by xpd54 »

I put a set of Crimson Trace laser grips on my duty gun the other day. I used em in the match last night. It's been awhile since I've used them and forgot how much fun they can be. Some video:

That is some fast shooting against some tough targets.

Where you wearing a GoPro?

A Contour Roam attached to my earmuffs.

Shoulda slowed down a touch. Nicked one of the no shoots, but had no misses. Over the years I've had several people ask me about shooting the laser. I'm doing a couple of blog posts about them over the next week or so with my thoughts on the subject.

Yep, those no-shoots left some small targets, not much more than head shots.

Nope. Too expensive and the hollow points tear up the rubber covering the bullet traps. I do shoot some of it during training at work every year. I can notice a little more snap with the +P duty ammo.

sounds to me like the shooter and the RO have some nepotism related issues?? Can we get a disinterested third party to check the results?

Smokin'! 8) :D

I loved the last part of the last video, where enough gunsmoke was around the gun that you could actually see the laser beam trace its line just above your trigger finger.

Claude Werner recently wrote an interesting piece regarding lasers on his website. He linked in a low-resolution (I think it may have been technology-limited) video of him using the laser when he was an instructor at Rogers. Cool stuff.

I really want to find a small light/laser combo for my carry gun.....
