CCW training - Cleveland area

Post by Quack »

I have a friend looking to get his CHL. I haven't needed to look for a CHL trainer in a while. So who's out there? I know he looked at Stonewall, but he said they aren't doing classes.

TSiWRX....its Mike that is looking.

Commence Fire (http://www.commencefire.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) and Three Tango Firearms (http://www.threetango.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) would get my immediate vote, as they've both got excellent progressions *after* the CHL.

HKJ also has a good rep, and I think he's still with the Suarez contingent, so there's a progression thereafter as well.

And Pirateguy191, aren't you also teaching? :)

If Mike has scheduling concerns, he can also look at ConcealedCarryCourses.com . They're more "mill-like," but they're safe on the range, and they offer unconventional schedules. I sought them out as a means to an end (my schedule didn't mesh with Ron's at that time, remember?), and towards that, I really can't complain.

Shane got his through Dan Clevenger (http://www.ccwfiringrange.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), who teaches out of Pro Armament, IIRC. He thought the instruction was good.

Big fan. This is where I took my class. I've got a few follow-up classes planned as well.

Can't say enough about commencefire.com. Keith & company are very thorough on legal and practical in their CHL course. And as tsiwrx mentioned, a full range of follow up courses.

Thanks for the thumbs up gentlemen, that means a lot. If he is in Cuyahoga, Jeff/Pirateguy would probably be closer/easier and better looking option!
