Hi, What is everyone's opinion on brass vs. steel?
Has anyone had to replace parts as it's claimed, due to excessive wear from the steel casings?
Was it still worth it money wise given the price difference?
Thanks,

Re: Something about Brass vs. Steel casings
After reading the Lucky Gunner comparison test review, I've opted to avoid steel cased ammo for my AR platform rifles. It's less about the small parts wearing faster and needing replaced as it is the rapid loss of accuracy and much lower reliability of the steel cased ammo.

IF the rifle isn't better than 4moa, then I'd run the snot out of it.
If the rifle is accurate, and I'm shooting a lost-brass match, and not a bunch of ammo, then I'll shoot steel.

I've had two stuck cases with steel out of 1000 rounds.
That's why I keep a G.I. cleaning kit in my range bag, so I can use the cleaning rod to get them out.

Steel cases---
...a case based on war. Use when nothing else is available
Brass cases...
...the OTHER 97.5% of all cases; I WONDER WHY
Happy Inbetween? aluminum perhaps?
I bought a 2020 Corvette. I drive it to work in the winter and DOUBLY so, when I am FORTUNATE enuff to ride right behind the salt truck
I bought a Sig, and use steel case ammo

All of my AR's have had a steady diet of nothing other than steel over the yrs.
But to each their own it's a personal preference along with neither a right or a wrong answer.
