Greetings; While going through brother-in-laws estate, a WWII Japanese rifle scope was found. Wife's father was an Avenger pilot on the USS Boxer, so we are assuming this was a bring back from the Pacific theater. The case looks nearly new issue, except for the leather strap to hold it closed. Scope appears to be missing a rubber eye piece, otherwise in great shape. Optics & reticle are clear & bright. I read that the scope's serial # matched the rifle it was issued with. Anyone have an Arisaka with matching number?? Any info on the scope greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
TM

Re: Info on WWII scope
I suggest you do some reading at Gunboards, then post some info on it there.
A lot of the Japanese items for snipers are going for crazy money these days.

Re: Info on WWII scope
Just a follow up, sold the scope to Legacy Collectibles for $1500. http://www.legacy-collectibles.com I have watched many of their YouTube videos on Lugers and other WWII firearms, one of the best channels IMO.
