Anybody have good experience with an Ohio gunsmith who works on Smith & Wessons?

Looking to have barrel set back on a 686.

Thanks!

just saw this so maybe late to the dance.

the best in the state is defensive ceations massilon ohio
dave laubert

he is 1 of the top 200 pistols smiths in the country
belongs to the most famous pistols smith guild

he is also the best ar guy around have had him do probably 35 ar's for us over the last 5 yrs or so. nothing he cant do NOTHING. if for a odd reason he doesnt do this mod he will say no tks and send u to another smith. barrel threading seems to be a black art for most. he has done 8-9 rifles and pistols.
most cant be trusted with it. he does them all the time ..

try him. ken hackathorn say most p/smiths are nuts.. says dave is an exception.

cheers carbine 357

Thanks. Wound up dropping it off with Andy Horvath. Haven't gotten it back yet, but he has stellar reputation with revos.

Andy had it done a few weeks after I dropped it off. Fine work, no drama.

Hearing Dave Laubert, Joe Chambers, and JJ Zitto in one discussion regarding build methodologies and spring functions sort of blew my mind.
