Recommend .22LR semi-auto training handgun
Now that .22LR prices are back to normal I am looking to get a semi-auto handgun in this caliber to do cheap training with. Something that is as externally similar to a Sig P320 as possible is desired.
Maybe a Walther PPQ? Sig Mosquito? Ruger SR22?

I'm partial to Ruger or S&W.

SR 22 is good reliable 22 IMO. Wife has one and we love going out back and poking holes in cans and paper with it!

I'll echo other's sentiments - Ruger SR22 or S&W M&P 22. I know they aren't that similar to the Sig, but they are the top two "traditional" .22 semi-auto pistols in terms of reliability.

Sig mosquito? Nope. That's one gun I'm glad I sold. An embarrassment to the Sig name.

Yep, the Mosquitos I've shot have kinda sucked. They need to be soaked in oil and need high velocity ammo in order to run.evan price wrote:Sig mosquito? Nope. That's one gun I'm glad I sold. An embarrassment to the Sig name.

The Mosquito was poorly executed. Sig farmed that gun out to another company to build for them, then were stuck with the thing afterwards. Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

If you are still looking check out the new Taurus TX22. It's been getting very good reviews.
