I won one a couple years ago. Ordinary GM clone but with rails
. I don't carry it - it requires a special holster to deal with the rails, and I'm too cheap. (I have a GM clone if I get the urge to carry a full size 1911.)
Rock solid and heavy, but it took me a couple hours on the bench to make it shootable
. After the distributor's smith spent some time on it. Pretty easy to do, though. The ambi safety on mine had edges (on both levers!) sharp enough to shave with, but that was an easy one, too.
IMHO, they're a lot of solid gun for the price, but do plan on a bit of work with it. Heck of a nice range gun if nobody complains about the extra weight.
