Sold my soul earlier for a single round of Magtech 9mm Ball. Wasn't cheap, but heck every shot counts right?

Might be buying something this morning. Vance Outdoors is opening a location in Lebanon Ohio today. Supposedly they've been putting ammo aside since the decision was made to expand, last year sometime I guess.

I am hopeful regarding availability but not optimistic about pricing. We'll see in a couple hours.

I was correct in that ammunition at Vance Outdoors was plentiful, but current pricing kept my wallet shut.

Nice store with something like 1200 firearms on the shelves as of 10am. I didn't want to get in that line, since my habit is to start eyeballing pre-owned and go from there. So, I can't narrow things down with a clerk to a specific brand, caliber, etc.

By far the best deals were clothing in the clearance section. Brands like 5.11 and Carhartt at maybe 75% off. Thinking Vance must have bought out a competitor or something.

Picked up a S&W MP 15 Sport II 5.56 at Vances Outdoor in Columbus today, a gun case and a 150 round box of Federal Ammo. The S&W retired LEO discount saved me $104 off the list price. Sweet. Also picked up 2000 large pistol primers for my buddy who reloads 45 cal.

Yes, It was a good day.

Been retrofitting my IWB holsters from steel belt clips, to leather loops with snaps. Every once in a while, those spring clips unexpectedly slip off the nylon-based gun belts I use. It's not like the gun and holster then crash to the floor or anything, but it causes me some concern. With a pair of leather loops that employ one-way snaps, the rig is more secure, in my opinion.

Nearly pristine, one owner, VERY low round count S&W 66-4.
I didn't get a steal but the price was more than fair.

Look into DCC clips.

IMHO The short-barrel 66 is the pinnacle of S&W revolver-craft, pre-lock and pre-MIM of course. It’s 6 rounds of 357 in a tidy yet shootable package. Well-done.

The 3" model 66 is my favorite, but they've only ever run off small batches*. Really prefer the full length ejector rod. Only one I've seen for years is in my safe.

That's not a knock on the 2.5" gun, guys. Friends have them and I'm a fan.

*There's a newer 3" variant too, but it's ported and I'm pretty sure it has the external lock gizmo.
