Females Running Law Enforcement

I’ve noticed recently that when there’s a shooting which makes the news, an awful lot of the police chiefs and sheriffs are female.
Here inSummit County the sheriff is female. I just wonder if that’s not contributing to the rise in crime. I love women but I feel their nurturing motherly instincts aren’t conducive to being tough on crime.
Reading the story here about the Sheriff I believe was in Hamilton county being so anti gun and liberal just reminded me of how many press conferences after shootings are held by women in charge of public safety.
I could be totally off base but it’s just a thought.
