HUG meeting Schedule Thread

Post by evan price »

This thread is for the Handloaders Users Group meeting times.

HUG is open to any OFCC interested parties of all ages in the central Ohio area who have interest or experience in cartridge reloading or bullet casting regardless of experience level, or general interest in firearms or CCW.

Hands on skill development!

Want to learn if reloading or casting is right for you?
Had questions but never knew who to ask?
Want to see how it's done to learn more?
Need help or advice with a setup, a load, or how the process works?
Do you want a friendly atmosphere with no pressure or judgement?
Got stuff to trade? Components you can't use?
Do you enjoy sitting around talking to like minded folks about things we all hold in common?

C'mon down.

Our first meeting on Feb 2 was a huge success. We'd like to make this a regular activity.

Admission is free!

Our next meeting is March 2nd, 7pm-9:30 pm, location is......_____________________(Please fill me in)

PM any HUG user for details and directions.

YEAH! I knew it was a good idea that we let Evan come to the last meeting. This way, we've got a moderator that can file this at the top of the page under "Announcements." If we had listened to you guys that weren't going to let him come to the meeting, we'd still be fishing this thread out from halfway down the page. Since y'all listened to me and let Evan come, we've got the hook up!
See, all my ideas ain't bad ideas!

Seriously, though, Monday works really good for me in most weeks, but specifically for the 1st over the 2nd.
BUT, I'm going purely for the enjoyment of like minded people. While I always have something to learn, if there are others who specifically require a little hands-on tutoring then I say it's much more important that they have a date that works for their schedule.

Otherwise, I vote for Monday the 1st, and Monday on future days as well. Weekends are tougher for me but I'll look at 'em as they pop up. I likely would have had a blast at the "cast 'n bull" party on Saturday.

Bill-- way cool that you can host at a private place. I'd like to bring a handgun and ask some opinions. And maybe catch a glimpse at that '41 that I mentioned in the other thread.
I like to swap brass... and I'm looking for .32 H&R Mag, .327 Fed Mag, .380 Auto and 10mm. If you have some and would like to swap for something else, send me a note!

No problems bringing hardware for show and tell. We WILL be smart to not chamber any live carts. There are adjacent businesses in the same building.

We'll have another brass swap. Bag what you can't use or don't load and see if you might be able to trade for stuff you need.

Sevens...
We'll let you take credit for having EP involved, but if he becomes trouble you are BOTH out...

For sure, no need to load anything that's not holstered on my person.

So any of you guys want to chamber check one of your rounds, make sure you bring a holster that works on my size 34 waist, okay?! :D (kidding of course)

My hardware will be one of a gun smithing nature.

Bill... you know, if you build a range at this place, you'll get a heckuva lot more interested folks wanting to show up for a weeknight HUG!

I figure, if the weather co-operates, and after daylight savings time kicks in so it is light longer, and my wife isn't working late, I will bring my smelting setup and render down some wheelweights if you guys want to.

That sounds like fun. How about I'll bring mine as well and we'll have two of them going.
