Corporations should abstain from being political pawns..

Metlife, Delta and more than a dozen others have decided to end benefits deals offered to the organization's members. Others, including FedEx, are staying put. The decision to stay or go for many companies involves walking a fine line that can impact their image for better or worse.
Over the weekend, Delta said it would end its discount rates deal for NRA members' group travel and requested it be removed from the organization's website. But, it also said it continues to support the Second Amendment.

Delta's balancing act in particular sparked a harsh response from Georgia's Republican Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle. He threatened to use his position to derail a $50 million sales tax exemption on jet fuel for airlines because of Delta's decision, calling it an attack on conservatives. Delta is based in Atlanta and would be the biggest beneficiary of the sales tax exemption.

The NRA has also pushed back, calling the departure of its corporate partners a "shameful display of political and civic cowardice."

Other companies that have cut ties with the NRA include First National Bank of Omaha, Hertz, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Best Western, Wyndham, United Airlines, Chubb, and Starkey Hearing Technology. Still, many others have maintained their relationship, including FedEx and the less-well-known Hotel Planner and eHealth.

Exactly. While it would be nice if they actively supported lawful exercise of peoples' rights. I'd be happy if they just stayed neutral.

If you are a bank or payment processing company, as long as the product is legal then just process the payment.

For all these other companies, if you offer discounts to large organizations then treat all large organizations the same.

FedEx responds to questions about the NRA

https://about.van.fedex.com/newsroom/fe ... ty-policy/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
FedEx Corporation’s positions on the issues of gun policy and safety differ from those of the National Rifle Association (NRA).
FedEx is a common carrier under Federal law and therefore does not and will not deny service or discriminate against any legal entity regardless of their policy positions or political views. The NRA is one of hundreds of organizations in our alliances/association Marketing program whose members receive discounted rates for FedEx shipping. FedEx has never set or changed rates for any of our millions of customers around the world in response to their politics, beliefs or positions on issues.
Look at that, they can have a completely different stance and disagree, but NOT alter their business practices based on that difference in beliefs.

This just in, Georgia slapped Delta's wrist for dropping NRA discounts.
LOL!!!!

Georgia Lawmakers Vote to Strip Delta of $40 Million Tax Break After Company Slammed NRA Members
Pro-gun Georgia lawmakers scored a political victory Thursday over Delta Air Lines, making good on Republican threats to deny the company a hefty tax break after it cut ties with the National Rifle Association in the wake of the deadly shooting at a Florida high school.

The state House and Senate within hours of each other passed a sweeping tax bill that Republicans had amended to strip out a sales tax exemption on jet fuel. Atlanta-based Delta would have been the prime beneficiary of the tax break, which would have been worth an estimated $38 million.

Bull.

Re-read the Fedex statement.
While we strongly support the constitutional right of U.S. citizens to own firearms subject to appropriate background checks, FedEx views assault rifles and large capacity magazines as an inherent potential danger to schools, workplaces, and communities when such weapons are misused. We therefore support restricting them to the military.
