Sad passing in our community - Bill Holcomb

Post by TSiWRX »

OFCC Friends -

It's with a heavy heart that I post the following.

Bill Holcomb, the Chief Instructor of Three Tango Firearms Academy, passed away unexpectedly earlier this week.

This notice is taken from the Three Tango Firearms Academy public Facebook page:

I know that a number of shooters in our Forum community either received their Ohio-CHL training through Bill and his colleagues or otherwise were one of his students at some point or another. His specialty - and that of his school's - was handgun, and his coursework was both intense and fun. Bill had the wonderful ability to shape complete novices into competent and confident defensive shooters.

It was really with his encouragement that I stepped into the training world, and for that, among other things, I will always be grateful to him.

Rest in Peace, Bill.

A terrible loss. I never met Bill in person, but shared some discussions on Facebook with him over time. He was a good person to talk with, and always seemed to have something positive to say.

48 is just too young.

Oh my gosh. I only took one class through Bill but we've been "friends" for several years now. We've had many discussions concerning students and laws. Bill was truly a good man and and a valued member or our community.

R.I.P. Bill.
