Supervisor of Baltimore Police Gun Trace Task Force set to plead guilty
January 3, 2018
The former supervisor of the corrupt Baltimore Police Gun Trace Task Force is set to plead guilty on Friday, according to court records and his attorney.Court records show former Sgt. Wayne Jenkins is scheduled for a rearraignment on that morning in U.S. District Court, and his attorney, Steve Levin, confirmed he will be entering a guilty plea.

...Prosecutors allege Jenkins led a unit that robbed drug dealers and innocent civilians, and in some cases directed that drugs and guns seized by the unit be re-sold on the streets. Sometimes, prosecutors said, Jenkins pretended to be a federal agent to conceal his identity. His unit falsified court documents to cover its tracks — or didn’t file paperwork at all — and also raked in tens of thousands of dollars in unearned overtime pay from the city, according to the indictment...

This can't be true. Police never turn on their own. Thin blue line and all. And besides, I have learned from a few posters on this forum that police officers are above the law because they wear badges and never get prosecuted. They are like ham sandwiches walking among us.
Ignorant or Stupid, I'm not sure which is worse. If someone were stupid, at least they'd have an excuse for all the dumb things they say.

IANAL and neither are most people on this board, its just shows more with some than others.

Cops are the biggest criminals on the street. Checkout the 'first amendment audits' and open carry audits on Youtube. The way cops act these days will make you sick.

Yep, be careful of very broad brushes. Like blaming all of today's bad-acting teenagers on teachers. Or saying all kids can't count or do simple math at the cash register.

Even if I agreed with the premise implied with the first bolded words that all cops are criminals, (and I do not agree with that premise) what makes you think that cops are acting worse "these days" than in days past? Granted, thanks to the internet, audio and video recordings, we hear about bad cops a lot more often that decades ago, but that doesn't mean law enforcement officers in general today are all crooked or somehow worse today than in the past. In the past if you had a cop who was engaged in criminal activity they basically just got away with it most of the time.
