According to the Alabama Political Reporter, Jones described himself as “a Second Amendment guy,” but stressed that some gun control is necessary. He said, “We’ve got limitations on all constitutional amendments in one form or another.”

During a May 2013 appearance on Rachel Maddow Lean Forward, Murphy said, “The Second Amendment is not an absolute right, not a God-given right. It has always had conditions upon it like the First Amendment has.”
This guy is trying to win with all the wrong positions in a crimson state.
But therein lies the rub, if we can't mention G*d when we mention our Rights
(ToS or some other limp-wristed reason notwithstanding), how should anyone expect victory? If we remove the OBJECTIVE reason that exists outside our SUBJECTIVE individual preference, there is no moral OUGHT, there is only the messenger, which, can and has been ridiculed mercilessly since time began
(who among us is perfect?). Our argument, without an external moral law-giver is reduced to mere culinary preference and our own hedonistic desires. When we proudly exclaim that
we are the potter and we form the clay, we are reduced to arguments about our favorite ice cream flavor, and undermine the cause of Liberty. Just ask Bill Nye, he thinks it's all about
ice cream (Caution: forward-thinking, progressive "truth" embedded). Un-tethered to perfect justice in the afterlife, it's survival of the fittest while on earth. Lord of the Flies and how can we deceive the masses in the near future is the calling card of politicians. If we desire to return the the founding principles of our nation, we have to regain the moral authority upon which those principles stand.

"Avarice, ambition, revenge and licentiousness would break the strongest cords of our Constitution, as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." John Adams to Mass Militia 10-11-1798
