RNC / City of Cleveland violation?
I know this is a touchy subject, but aren't Cleveland's rules on prohibiting firearms downtown during the RNC s violation of ORC 9.68? Link attached.

They aren't banning firearms downtown. They said at the news conference that they can't go against state laws.Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson and others announced the protest route, and released a wide list of common items that would be banned during the RNC within downtown Cleveland, including coolers, tennis balls, squirt guns and various handheld weapons, besides firearms.

Re: RNC / City of Cleveland violation?
In similar fashion, Cincinnati allows concealed or open carry on Fountain Square downtown. But if you go there for some sort of pro-gun rally, don't attach your cleverly worded sign to a 1"X 2" or any sort of stick, for that matter. they can and just may cite you for having such a "weapon". So, make the sign part of a chamber flag for your muzzle-up slung AR. That's fine.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

Re: RNC / City of Cleveland violation?
I noticed most of the hay being raised is liberal groups looking to stage protests. Given Trump as the nominee, I would not want the Secret Service's job. Violence and/or assassination attempt are even more likely than usual.
God,
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can
and the Wisdom to know the difference.
Carrying a gun is a right, not a crime.
Gun control is racist.

So, #21 looks interesting. Wonder if they will think about using that prohibition to include laser sights on carry sidearms...

I guess if it's part of the firearm, think Bodyguard, it would be OK. If it's added on to an accessory rail, probably not. Just my opinion.JustaShooter wrote:So, #21 looks interesting. Wonder if they will think about using that prohibition to include laser sights on carry sidearms...

I took the "besides firearms" as meaning "including firearms". Sorry for my confusion.pirateguy191 wrote:They aren't banning firearms downtown. Re: RNC / City of Cleveland violation?
Now how are the police going to differentiate between BB guns and firearms if someone is open carrying.....without doing a stop and frisk?

And I can always tell them to go [this is a family friendly forum] themselves.pirateguy191 wrote:They can always ask.
What I want to know is how they came up with the bag size limit of 18” x 13” x 7” on number 20.
